The Next Jeopardy host. Who is Aaron Rodgers?

How an NFL football career translates to success as a tv show host

Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League. For more than a decade he and his Packers have been dominating my hometown team, the Detroit Lions.

But that’s not why I pay attention to Rodgers. I pay attention despite that fact.

Like most athletes, he has an interesting dating life (actresses, NASCAR drivers). Unlike most athletes, Rodgers was the 2015 Celebrity Jeopardy Champion and appears to have an eclectic personality. What professional athlete answers questions about their contract uncertainty like this?

On a subconscious level, I’ve flagged Rodgers as someone that’s thinking differently than his peers.

Lately, you might be paying Rodgers more attention too. He has been working as the guest host for the trivia show, Jeopardy. Since the passing of the show’s long-time host, Alex Trebek, Jeopardy is implementing a brilliant strategy of testing out potential replacements. This is brilliant for 2 reasons:
